B12 Happy Hours — Changing and Expanding!!

Looking for more ways to get your B12  energy boost??  We are excited to announce NEW opportunities for B12 and other injectable nutrients.

Our Oakland Happy Hour will be changing days. October 5 will be the LAST WEDNESDAY Happy Hour at the Rockridge Day Spa, and we will be partnering with our friends at Got Vitamin B12  and moving the Happy Hour at Rockridge Day Spa to SATURDAYS 10am -1 pm, starting October 15. We are excited to offer Saturday hours for those who have been trying to get to us after fighting rush hour and for those who want to start their weekends with a dose of health.  Same location, great new time!

Many of our clients on the east side of the Caldecott have been asking about B12 shots closer to home, as we used to do in Lafayette, and your wish has been granted!  We will hosting a weekly B12 Happy Hour on Wednesdays, 3-6 pm, starting November 2, in Walnut Creek.  We are excited to partner with Trusalus Health Center  at their office at 1981 Broadway, ground floor (the Atrium building) to offer B12 and other vitamin injections to clients in Central Contra Costa.  Come by, meet Dr. Lutrin, and bring a friend!

We also will continue to host Got Vitamin B12 on Mondays, at the Tara Natural Medicine office in Piedmont from 3-6 pm.  And Dr. Levy will be helping to run Got Vitamin B12 at their Piedmont Avenue location on Wednesdays, from 3-6 pm.

Flu Prevention — Alternatives to the “Shot”

Every year patients ask whether or not they should receive the flu vaccine.   While the decision whether or not to vaccinate is a personal one, there are other immune supportive options should one decide that the conventional flu vaccine isn’t for you.  Each year we offer Influenzinum, an oral  homeopathic remedy made from the flu vaccine, as another way to prevent the flu.  This year we are also offering a homeopathic injectible immune booster from Europe that has an excellent record in preventing the flu — a “natural flu shot”.

A homeopathic remedy,  “Influenzinum” provides a safe and effective alternative to the vaccine.  Each year the makers take the current year’s flu vaccine to make up their remedy, so the remedy is designed to match the predicted strains of flu virus.  In addition to being used for prevention, this remedy can also be used to treat flu symptoms should they appear.  For those of us who have concerns about the flu and the flu vaccine, Influenzinum is an excellent non-toxic option, appropriate for both children and adults. Breast Thermography Clinic — NOVEMBER

Our next breast thermography screenings are on Thursday, November  3rd, 2016 from 10 am – 5 pm.  The price for screening is $225 – this includes screening, interpretation, report, a copy of the images and, if needed, a review of findings with one of the doctors.  Our last several clinics have been completely full, so  schedule yours soon!

Unlike Mammography or other forms of breast imagery, breast thermography is a technique that detects the heat produced by increased blood vessel circulation that may be associated with a tumor’s genesis and growth. By detecting minute variations in normal blood vessel activity, infrared imaging may find thermal signs that suggest a pre-cancerous state or the presence of an early tumor that may not be large enough to be detected by physical examination, or mammography.

Breast Thermography is especially helpful for women with dense breast tissue that is difficult to see on mammography or younger women who are still menstruating.   Thermography does not replace mammography, but can be used as an additional way to screen the breasts.  This service is available to the general public as well as patients of Tara Natural Medicine.  To schedule, or to have questions answered about thermography, please message or call the office at 925-949-8604.

Looking for your natural energy boost??  That’s right, there are two opportunities to get B12 shots from the doctors of Tara Natural Medicine.  Dr. Levy serves up B12 shots weekly at the Rockridge Day Spa on College Avenue, Wednesdays from 4-6 pm.  Dr. Drouin offers B12 shots as part of Got Vitamin B12 on Mondays, at the Tara Natural Medicine office in Piedmont from 3-6 pm.
