After more than 27 years of caring for this wonderful community, I have made the heartfelt decision to close Tara Natural Medicine and begin a new professional chapter.
It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to care for my patients and their families. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me over the years and for allowing me to be part of your health journeys. The relationships we’ve built together have meant more to me than I can adequately express.
As Tara Natural Medicine prepares to close, my highest priority is ensuring a smooth transition for every patient. This page contains important information about appointments, prescription refills, medical records, supplements, and continuing your care.

Continuing Your Care
While you are, of course, free to choose any healthcare provider, I am pleased to recommend the following naturopathic doctors, each of whom brings unique strengths and expertise:

These recommendations are offered to help make your transition as seamless as possible. I encourage you to choose the doctor who best fits your healthcare needs.
Medical Records
Effective August 29. 2026, Dr. Ashika Deskins, ND will serve as the custodian of your medical records. Dr. Deskins will maintain your records in accordance with HIPAA and applicable California retention requirements. For medical records requests, Dr. Deskins may be reached at drdeskins@ashikanatmed.com. Updated mailing address and telephone information will be posted here as soon as it becomes available.
Serving as the custodian of your medical records does not establish a physician-patient relationship with Dr. Deskins. You are welcome to establish care with any healthcare provider of your choosing. If you would like a copy of your records or wish to have them sent to another healthcare provider, please complete a Medical Records Release Authorization. You can submit this form to Tara Natural Medicine before August 28 via email or through the Charm patient portal. After August 29th, please submit this form to Dr. Deskins via email or through the Charm patient portal.
Standard record copying fees may apply. Please allow adequate time for processing.
Prescription Refills
Prescription refill requests will continue to be accepted through August 28, 2026.
After that date, prescription requests should be directed to your new healthcare provider.
Supplements
Supplements will remain available through August, while inventory lasts.
If you need a special-order supplement, please place your request by August 4, 2026 so we have sufficient time to receive and distribute your order before the practice closes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still see Dr. Levy?
My last day for in-office appointments is August 21, 2026. Virtual follow-up appointments will be available through August 28, 2026.
How do I obtain my medical records?
Please complete the Medical Records Release Authorization form. Dr. Ashika Deskins, ND, will maintain the medical records following the practice closure.
Will my medical records remain confidential?
Yes. Your medical records will continue to be maintained in accordance with all applicable federal and California privacy laws.
Do I have to see one of Dr. Levy’s recommended doctors?
No. You are welcome to establish care with any licensed healthcare provider you choose. The recommended doctors are simply colleagues whom I know and trust.
What if I need medication refills after August 28?
After August 28, prescription refills should be requested through your new healthcare provider.
