Dr. Elizabeth Large earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND) in 2000 from Southwest College in Tempe, Arizona. Prior to practicing as a naturopathic doctor, Elizabeth worked in the mental health field as a counselor to severely emotionally disturbed adolescents and adults, including crisis care.
Dr. Large began her medical career working at Recovery Systems Clinic with Julia Ross, treating mood disorders, addiction, eating disorders and stress-induced illness. In 2005, Dr. Large opened a private practice in Mill Valley focusing on family medicine and women’s health. She has completed additional training in hypnotherapy and IV nutrient medicine.
In 2010, Dr. Large started training with Dr. Wayne Anderson, an expert in infectious disease, leading to a 5 month internship.  Now, in addition to working at Tara Natural Medicine, Dr. Large works at Gordon Medical Associates in Santa Rosa with Dr. Anderson treating complex illness. She has a passion for the detective work necessary in treating Lyme, chronic infection and viruses with both natural and pharmaceutical medicine. She focuses on detoxification, hormone replacement and treatment of stealth infection in chronic illness and conditions such as migraines, insomnia, allergies, mental health, pain, chronic fatigue and the highly sensitive patient.

Dr. Large has many years of experience working to help people achieve their health goals, physically and emotionally. She understands the mind/body interplay and believes that in the quest for health, all aspects of our lives must be addressed.
